On the territory of the district are located the following natural landmarks: the tended reserve "Ostritza" (Golo Bardo Mountains), the Trun eco-path, the "Duhlata" cave.

The most famous rocky phenomena are: the Zemen rocks and the Erma River gorge. Within the limits of the district fall the Zemen and Peshtera Monasteries.
