On the territory of the Razgrad District have been discovered more than 100 findings from the Halcolith and the Bronze Age; Thracian burial mounds by the villages of Sveshtari, Malak Porovets and Samuil; remains from ancient fortresses and settlements. Here is located the world famous Sveshtari Thracian Tomb, included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List and the archeological complex of Sboryanovo.

The natural landmarks in the region of Razgrad are: the reserve "Beli Lom" and the hunting farm "Voden". Important ornithological sites are the dam lake "Beli Lom" and the rivers Malki and Beli Lom. The most famous wineries in the district are: Razgrad and Kubrat.
