On the territory of the district are located the following tourist sights: the remains of Nikopolis ad Istrum, Arbanassi - an architectural reserve, The Plakovski, Kilifarevski, Kapinovski, Patriarcheski, Preobrazhenski, Petropavlovski, "St. Apostles Peter and Pavel", "Sveta Bogoroditza" and other monasteries from the Veliko Turnovo Holy Forest. In the region of the village of Hotnitza is found a Thracian treasure of 44 objects dating from the second half of V millennium B.C. The objects have been discovered among the remains of a late Neolithic settlement in a settlement mound.
